Hello! My name is Payal Chana.

My dream has always been to make people happy and I believe the best way I can do so is through writing and designing games.

Writing has always been an important part of my life. From essay writing to short stories, poetry to writing a collection of short stories, I've tried writing in various ways but nothing piqued my interest as much as Interactive Writing. The simple idea of giving someone agency and creating something somewhat collaboratively with the reader grabbed my attention immediately!

I'm someone who works extra hard to give each writing piece all the time and effort it deserves (and sometimes as much as deadlines provide). I'm not afraid of constantly reworking something until it is as close to perfection as I can get it to be. I like to think of each project I write as a lotus flower that starts as something muddy, but with time and effort, it blooms into something beautiful and wholesome.

Some of my strong points, the things that make my writing bloom bright, is my ability to write dialogue that suits the mood of the story and the characters as well as experimenting with descriptive writing that allows interactors to vividly imagine the story.

 

I also try to find new platforms to write interactive stories as well as find new digital mediums to try writing for In terms of interactive writing, I have created various Twine stories and games and Inky stories. Writing on these platforms allows my writing to thrive the most. I also have experience with writing animation scripts, creating Story Bibles, TTRPGs, RenPy stories and PowerPoint stories. These are platforms that I would like to explore a lot more during future projects.
